James Jarboe Obituary (1960 – 2021) – San Francisco, CA

James “Jim” Jarboe

Born May 23rd, 1960, the 5th child of John and Dorothy Jarboe in Louisville, KY passed away March 29th, 2021 in San Francisco, CA. He is preceded in death by both parents and one sister, Margaret Ping.

Although the family moved often while Jim was growing up, they finally settled in LaGrange, IL where Jim graduated from Lyons Township HS in 1978. After high school, Jim moved around a bit and then settled in Northern California where he lived the remainder of his life.

Jim was a jack-of-all-trades, working as a chimney sweep in Illinois, as Chef on a fishing boat out of Washington, to tree trimmer in northern California, and most recently he was employed by the Lower Polk Community Benefit District in San Francisco, CA. He was a musician, an animal lover and friend to all. May he rest in peace.

The family will hold a private memorial for Jim and ask that if you wish to make a donation, please donate to your local homeless shelter or All Saints’ Episcopal Church, San Francisco.
