SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – An Asian woman was robbed and pulled from a car over the weekend in San Francisco, police said.
Two Asian women, ages 33 and 53, reported they were walking on Sunday when three men appeared behind them and tried to grab a handbag. The suspects and women fought for the wallet, during which the suspects allegedly hit and kicked the women several times, police said.

The suspects then tried to drive away, but one of the women reached for the car to get her purse. It was pulled a few feet before falling onto the street.
The incident was recorded on video and passed on to KRON with the kind permission of Benjamin Freemantle.
“It’s pretty irritating and traumatic to watch,” Freemantle said. “We didn’t know what was going on, at first we were all shocked. I didn’t know what was going on. “
Crimes against Asian Americans are increasing
The San Francisco Police Department said both women had been treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
