Vegetation Fires Burn In San Jose Close to Houses In Space Of Interstate 680, Berryessa Highway – CBS San Francisco
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – A series of vegetation fires burned near homes in an area off Interstate Highway 680 in San Jose Monday afternoon.
The San Jose Fire Department said the fire burned near Berryessa Road and I-680 and affected traffic in the area.

The fire burned along the shoulder of the highway exit and flames reached the edge of the highway baffle next to a row of houses
The fire also blackened the highway’s shamrock. There was no immediate word about how it started.
Firefighters have contained a vegetation fire in the area of Berryessa Road and Highway 680. The fire is not yet under control. Extensive overhaul expected. Around the same time, firefighters were called to a fire that was burning near Autumn Parkway and W. Julian St., where firefighters believe trash and debris caught fire.
