Vallejo Hearth Chief Arbuthnott Transferring On From Place – CBS San Francisco
VALLEJO (CBS SF / BCN) – Vallejo fire chief Daryl Arbuthnott is leaving his position to take advantage of other opportunities, city officials said on Monday.
The city of Vallejo issued a press release saying that Arbuthnott “is interested in exploring other promising opportunities that cannot be missed,” and that assistant fire chief Kyle Long, a 17-year veteran of the department, as In the meantime, acting will be boss until a permanent replacement is selected.

Arbuthnott joined the Vallejo Fire Department in January 2019 after having worked for the Los Angeles Fire Department for nearly 37 years.

City Manager Greg Nyhoff said in a statement: “I wish Chief Arbuthnott all the best in his future endeavors and I thank him very much for the professionalism and knowledge he has brought to Vallejo.”
