Tony Chacon Ontiveros of Clifton entered eternal rest on Tuesday 6th June 2023. He was 66 years old.
Tony Ontiveros, “Tony O” as he was known to most, was born on November 4, 1956 in Morenci, Arizona to Pedro and Pasquala Ontiveros. His parents took him to the East Side house overlooking the San Francisco River where he would spend the rest of his life.
Tony attended Clifton Schools and graduated as a Trojan in 1974. Tony was a plumber and painter and had many other handyman skills. After his retirement, he generously helped family and friends in the community. When people pressed to pay him, he said, “If you pay me, I won’t come back.” Tony has enjoyed working on his house and beautiful garden. The home he shared with Rose was friendly and welcoming, where friends enjoyed themselves, enjoyed a laugh, enjoyed shade, good food and plenty of sports.
Tony has been an avid Raiders fan his entire life. He was known for his love of music and could often be heard singing his favorite oldies. Tony also loved fishing and was known for his love of dogs. He rarely left the house without taking his boxer Ky, who was his companion until his last fishing trip.
Tony’s death precedes: his parents Pedro and Pasquala. He leaves behind: the siblings Pedro, Carlos, Olga and David; children, Rene, Dakota, Kelly and Paul; grandchildren, Angel, Mia and Davian; and his devoted life partner Rose.
Tony O’s big personality will be missed and remembered fondly.
A celebration of the life of Tony O will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 10:00 am at the Vining Funeral Home’s Chapel of the Valley.
