Three WR choices for the San Francisco 49ers forward of the 2021 season-opener

Kyle Shanahan is an offensive genius, but the San Francisco 49ers are not making his wide receiver life any easier right now.

The 49ers’ reception group is a mix of young players with lots of potential, veterans whose careers are about to end, and untested players trying to get a last spot on the 53-man roster.

While there are some intriguing options out there, they still need to cement the group in order to get there for the nagging NFC West in 2021. You can’t put all of your chips into the rapid development of young players like Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk.

Three WR options for the San Francisco 49ers before Week 1

# 1 – Brandin Chefs

Just imagine how much Cooks wants to get out of this mess called the Houston Texans. Even though he doesn’t want to be traded after moving from season to season over the past decade, he’d love to join a rising team like the San Francisco 49ers.

Cooks would provide the much-needed experience to young receivers like Samuel and Aiyuk and he would be an instant playmaker on the field, especially on deep passes. Trey Lance would love to have a Cook quality man making games on the field and he would be easily open to trade outside of Houston.

# 2 – N’Keal Harry

Harry never made it to New England as the Patriots expected, but it wouldn’t be a problem if the 49ers took a plane on him. He wants to be traded by the Patriots, and his traits on the field would give Kyle Shanahan something new to work on, a great wide receiver capable of winning contested catches.

Las Vegas Raiders versus New England Patriots

New England seems open to a move from Harry after investing a lot of money in the new passport catcher free agency, and there are some rumors that he may not even make the 53-strong list. At a low cost, the 49ers should watch out for Harry.

# 3 – Tim Patrick

Patrick had a great 2020 season with the Denver Broncos, but his days with the franchise are numbered. He has a one-year contract and his role on the offensive won’t get much bigger with more talented options in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy.

Since he will be a free agent after the season, the Broncos may be open to the possibility of receiving something in return for a player that won’t have much of an impact in 2021. The 49ers would be a solid receiving option for a. add lower price.
