SAN FRANCISCO – President Biden’s welcome reception brought all the leaders for the APEC Summit to San Francisco’s Exploratorium on the waterfront on Wednesday night.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed greeted the delegations, and other VIPs, including city, state, and local politicians, community leaders, CEO’s and celebrities such as singer Gwen Stefani who was a featured performer.

“A state, like the city of San Francisco, that prides itself on being on the leading and cutting edge of new ideas,” said Governor Gavin Newsom.

“Together, through APEC we can grow our economies, unlock industries of the future and ensure that all people prosper,” said Vice-President Kamala Harris.

A welcome video included Bay Area sports stars, Warriors coach Steve Kerr, Steph Curry, Kristi Yamaguchi, and Brandy Chastain.

“Welcome to San Francisco APEC,” they said on the video.

Kerr then appeared in person on stage to introduce President Biden, who gave brief remarks noting that APEC leaders face big challenges with artificial intelligence concerns and climate change.

“Connection, cooperation, collective action, and common purpose. That’s why we’re all here. I’m looking forward to seeing all the progress we’re going to make,” said Biden.

“Ceasefire now, Ceasefire now,” protestors chanted outside the entrance gate on the Embarcadero.

As rain poured down, police brought in reinforcements, maintaining a line outside high security barriers. Earlier, several protesters were arrested.

Protesters criticized President Biden for not doing more to stop civilian deaths in the Israel-Hamas war. Overall, the protest was peaceful and dispersed without major clashes with police.

Some who attended the APEC welcome reception said they are glad San Francisco is getting a chance to show the world the diversity and beauty of the city by the Bay.

“This is one of our greatest moments as a city and just as an entire community coming together,” said Anna Marie Presutti, Vice-President of Hotel Nikko and Board Chair of SF Travel.

“I’m also glad that she also included non-profits, community leaders and people who work in the community,” said Anni Chung, President and CEO of Self-Help for the Elderly, a community group that helps seniors.

“To be a part of this, it says a lot to young leaders that we can be in certain spaces as well,” said Hoang Dao of Hayward who took video and photos to remember the evening of meeting top leaders from around the world.

The reception ended with a big fireworks display over the bay, wrapping up after 8:30 p.m.

The APEC leaders are scheduled to hold a series of meetings Thursday and Friday, with additional receptions scheduled at various locations including the Palace of the Legion of Honor.

NEW YORK — Luis Urias become the first Red Sox player to hit grand slams on consecutive pitches and the first in 80 years to hit slams in consecutive games in leading Boston to an 8-1 victory over the fading Yankees Saturday, sending New York to its seventh straight loss.

Urias cleared the bases in his last at-bat against Washington reliever Robert Garcia on Thursday night and the ninth-place hitter stunned Yankees ace Gerrit Cole in the second inning with a blast to left center.

After allowing the catcher’s seventh homer, Cole (10-4) stared blankly toward right field in disbelief. Cole tied a season high by allowing six runs for the third time and gave up seven hits.

McCann followed with a two-run single.

Aledmys Díaz homered twice for the last-place A’s, who have lost nine of 11 and own the worst home winning percentage (.295) in the majors.

Tampa Bay had a 2-0 lead before breaking it open with four runs in the fifth. Angels starter Patrick Sandoval (6-10) appeared to retire the Rays in order, but Randy Arozarena’s fly ball popped out of Angels center fielder Jordyn Adams’ glove to extend the inning.

The Rays took advantage with four straight hits, including Paredes’ RBI single, a two-run double by Curtis Mead and Osleivis Basabe’s run-scoring double.

In the earlier game, Randal Grichuk drove in two runs for the Angels, who won for just the fifth time in 17 August games. Grichuk also made a leaping catch at the wall in the second inning to rob Yandy Diaz of a home run.

Currently, vendors in the global market are launching advertising campaigns across different platforms to create customer awareness and keep a solid customer base. They have started using several strategic marketing tools to grab customers’ attention.

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the online on-demand home service market. Although the epidemic damaged the global economy, the demand for cloud computing increased due to the pandemic. As a result, major players took full advantage of the crisis to find ways to reform their business models. There was the rapid growth of the e-commerce platform, which greatly contributed to the push of the market growth. Additionally, during the pandemic, a large population went digital and essentially adopted smartphones, resulting in high internet penetration. The market experienced increasing demand even during the pandemic. Therefore, increased demand during the lockdown restrictions has primarily helped the market gain momentum.

In Aug 2022, Amazon planned to expand its primary care service to include mental health support. Amazon Care, Amazon’s primary care service, intended to add behavioral health assistance to its growing list of medical partners and offerings with mental health provider Ginger.
The former handyman was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree evidence tampering and fourth-degree weapon possession in relation to the brutal murder, a report said.

Bonola allegedly admitted to stabbing Gaal more than 58 times before stuffing her body in a duffel bag and dragging it down her residential Forest Hills street in the early morning hours of April 16.

He made his purported confession when questioned by police, making incriminating statements after voluntarily going to the police station amid the investigation.

Bonola was taken away by police escorts after his appearance in court on Tuesday

Bonola was obsessed with New York City crime and how to seduce women, according to his YouTube channel.

One week before the murder, the suspect updated his playlist by saving videos including one titled: ‘7 Mindsets that Attract Women Like Crazy.’

Some of the tips were how to attract beautiful woman and make ‘you become unstoppable with women… without you really having to do anything.’

Bonola did not upload videos himself, but instead saved a series of clips that he liked onto a playlist on his YouTube account, which is publicly visible.

Other videos Bonola saved included titles like ‘Pickup and first date confidence’ and ‘how to go down on a woman’

Additional videos on his playlist were sexually graphic in nature, while others dealt with topics such as: ‘How to deal with a relationship when a woman is just not that into you;’ ‘How you know you are with a Hungarian woman;’ ‘Male magnetic mindset that drives women wild.

His YouTube channel shows he saved thousands of shooting, rapes and murders, on curated playlists, including 754 videos of local news reports of violent crimes, The New York Post reported.

Some of the stabbing videos were eerily similar to the brutal slaying on the Queens mother. One of his videos shared the news report of Amie Harwick, a former sex therapist, who reportedly sought two restraining orders against ex-boyfriend before her February 2020 murder in Hollywood, the news outlet said

Orsolya Gaal, who was the mother of two teenage sons, was of Hungarian-descent

Gaal had hired Bonola to do handyman work in her Forest Hills home. The pair had been having an on-off affair for two years before he allegedly murdered her with a kitchen knife in her basement during the early hours of April 16, while her 13-year-old son was upstairs.

Surveillance footage captured just hours after her murder showed Bonola walking along 114th Street near his apartment in Richmond Hill, just after 6am.

He is seen with bandage wrapped around his left hand as he makes his way down the street before heading into his apartment.

A photo of the tudor-style home that Orsolya Gaal, 51, had lived in with her husband and two sons before the tragic murder on April 16, 2022.

The day of the killing, Bonola allegedly headed to a CityMD in order to receive help for cuts on his hands. He was referred to Bellevue Hospital after urgent care doctors said the wounds were too deep for them to treat.

Police said they received a call around 8.10am on Saturday for a report of ‘a suspicious bag with blood on it at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway in Forest Hills.’ The bag held Gaal’s body.

Cops then followed a trail of blood left by the dragged bag, leading back to Gaal’s home. They found son, Leo, inside unscathed and took him in for questioning, putting him in handcuffs, before letting him go later that day.

Gaal’s husband Howard Klein and her older son Jamie, who had been on the West Coast, rushed back. They have not been seen or heard from since.

He had reportedly gone over to the home in an attempt to resurrect the affair as the relationship had come to ‘the end’.

Bonola later confessed to the heinous crime after being spotted by police days after the murder.

Police sources told the New York Post that he was very ‘matter of fact,’ and that he proceeded to eat a bagel with cream cheese as if nothing had happened

‘It was very matter of fact, very thorough, he answered every question they had,’ a police source told the newspaper. At no point did he request a lawyer.

The day of Bonola’s arrest he screamed: ‘F**k you motherf****r!’ when a group of reporters asked him why he killed Gaal.

Bonola has been living in the US illegally after moving from Mexico 20 years ago. His estranged wife and children are believed to live in Queens with him.

NYPD detectives declined to comment on Bonola’s immigrant status but ICE has now filed a detainer with Queens Central Booking, where he is being held.

It is unclear if he will face additional charges related to his immigration status.

Bonola will next court appearance will be May 10, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.

Online On Demand Home Services Market Growth & Trends

The rising number of advertising and marketing campaigns is a trend that will contribute to the market growth for online on-demand home services. Presently, vendors in the global market are launching advertisement campaigns through different platforms to generate customer awareness and retain a solid customer base. They have started using multiple strategic marketing tools to gain customers’ attention.

The recent outbreak of COVID-19 had an immense effect on the online on-demand home services market. Even though the epidemic damaged the world economy, demand for cloud computing increased due to the pandemic. As a result, significant players took full advantage of the crisis to create ways to reform their business models. There was the rapid growth of the e-commerce platform, which essentially aided the boost in market growth. Further, during the pandemic, a large population was inclined towards digitalization and essentially adopted smartphones, which resulted in high internet penetration. Thus, the market witnessed a heightening requirement even during the pandemic. Hence, the increased demand during the lockdown restrictions has primarily helped the market gain traction.

In Aug 2022, Amazon planned to add mental health support to its primary-care service. Amazon Care, Amazon’s primary-care service, intended to add behavioral health aid to its growing list of medical partners and offerings with Ginger, a mental health care provider. This facility will deliver Amazon Care users on-demand access to mental health professionals, like licensed psychiatrists or therapists. The move would observe the latest expansion of Amazon’s nascent primary-care business, which shows on-demand virtual care with the help of an app, uniting people with physicians for immediate care services.

The market is expected to expand at a CAGR of 6.3% from 2022 to 2030. The rising adoption of energy-efficient and renewable energy products is anticipated to be a significant driving factor for HVAC demand. Demand for eco-friendly systems, and advanced technology usage in products including software and automation, are a few key factors contributing to the industry’s success. The growing usage of ACs in homes, as well as offices, has favored the HVAC industry over the years. To further boost this demand, rising incomes and standard of living in several emerging economies have also driven business profitability in recent years.
