Sisters Conceal In Bed room Throughout Terrifying San Francisco Dwelling Invasion Theft – CBS San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Two San Francisco sisters huddled in a bedroom and were terrified when a gang of home invasion robbers ransacked their Outer Mission / Ingleside neighborhood in a brazen daylight crime.

You relived those moments in an exclusive interview with Betty Yu from KPIX 5. Still fearful for their safety, the sisters asked that their names be withheld.

The security video shows the suspect’s gray car reversing into the victim’s driveway on January 4th. The robbers make their way to the front door and seem to break open the iron gate with some kind of tool.

Meanwhile, at around 9:30 a.m., two sisters were inside

“I heard a knock upstairs, but I thought it was just my mother walking in like she might have forgotten something,” one of the nurses said to KPIX 5th for another 5 or so minutes and I found it strange. I was already very suspicious, so I got my cell phone … I went upstairs and shouted like ‘Mom, Dad is that you?’ “

When no one answered, she said she woke up her sister and called 911.

“I hid in the closet because I didn’t know what to do, I was really scared,” she said.

By now her sister could hear the robbers downstairs, outside the bedroom, just a few yards away.

“‘There’s a whole’ nowhere else ‘down here,” said the other sister, referring to a robber’s conversation. “He yelled at someone else and they just started smacking the door.”

The sisters shared a photo of the damage to the bedroom door – it was almost torn in half. When one of them screamed, it deterred the suspects who left with cash, jewelry, handbags, and sentimental items.

They jumped into a waiting getaway car and sped away.

“I thought they were going to hurt us. I thought I could distract her for a second and my sister could escape, or I would walk past them or something, but I don’t know – a million things were on my mind. It was like panic, ”said the nurse who was closest to the bedroom door.

The family said the police believed they were attacked.

“The police told us, and mom too, they said ‘why did this happen to us, we don’t even look like much’ and they told us that they are targeting Asian households. They are looking for Asian families, ”says one sister.

The family has since put in place a number of security measures, including reinforcements at the front door.

The sisters added that their pets alerted them to the intruders first – their cat made unusual noises and their dog immediately started barking.
