San Rafael enterprise donates $60,000 to San Francisco nonprofit – Marin Unbiased Journal

Central Payment and its sister company SpotOn, both based in San Rafael, have made a $60,000 donation to GLIDE in San Francisco to sponsor its annual holiday grocery bag event, which provides food for homeless and hungry residents.

Matt Hyman have participated in the grocery bag event for three years, donating more than $140,000 to GLIDE. In addition to the cash contribution, more than 75 employees will help GLIDE staff hand out 6,000 bags during the event.


Lucas Valley resident

Russ Colombo, president and CEO of Bank of Marin, has given the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks a $1,500 check to support the agency’s mission.

In addition, more than 20 employees from Bank of Marin recently volunteered to help pack 200 pounds of rice, beans and sorted food into bags that will serve more than 9,000 people throughout Marin County.


Bank of Marin has hired

Pat McCarty, of Novato, as the bank’s first vice president and special assets manager. He will work at the bank’s headquarters in Novato.

McCarty joins Bank of Marin with more than 35 years of experience in financial services, having most recently been a senior vice president and business banking manager for Umpqua Bank in Novato.


Arin Nelson, a principal with Novato-based Aquatech Consultancy, has earned the title of registered exterior wall consultant from RCI, Inc.

Nelson joins a group of more than 40 registered exterior wall consultants in the United States and Canada. He qualified for the designation by meeting the requirements of a two-part program based on verifiable levels of education, ethics and experience and successfully completing an examination.
