Sugaring is a technique in which a mixture of sugar, lemon and water heated to just above body temperature creates a paste that is applied in the opposite direction of hair growth. The paste is then removed with quick, small strokes in the direction of hair growth. This method only exfoliates the skin’s surface and is therefore the gentler of the two techniques.
Waxing uses a mixture of beeswax, rosin oils, resin and other ingredients to create either a hard or soft material, depending on the treatment, that is applied in the direction of hair growth and removed in the opposite direction.
