It’s been a good year for Tyler Mahle as he built on his 2020 breakout. That season he has posted an ERA of 2.93 in 43.0 innings with 15 walks and 52 spikes and a whip of 1.14.

In 2021, Mahle had reverse divisions. Left-handers hit him with 11 walks and 30 rashes in 93 record appearances only .160 / .269 / .272. Right-handers have a lot of success against him as they hit him with 10 extra base hits in 83 plate appearances .276 / .321 / .553. The sample size is small, but he’s also far worse off at home – 4.32 ERA with 5 homers allowed in 16.2 innings this season.
