Quick-Transferring 2-Alarm Vegetation Fireplace Burns Residence Buildings Antioch – CBS San Francisco

ANTIOCH (CBS SF) – According to the Contra Costa Fire Protection District, firefighters contained a fast-moving vegetation fire with 2 alarms that spread to neighboring buildings on Monday.

According to the fire department, the fire broke out around 6 p.m. and spread to two residential buildings with 8 units in 18th and Hargrove in Antioch.

Officials say after the first building caught fire, the wind drove the fire onto the second building.

“Aggressive fire fighting has stopped the spread,” officials said.
