Pundit trolls Arsenal over Ben White shifting to the Emirates

Danny Mills appears to be trolling Arsenal after claiming that Ben White’s ambitions should be questioned for choosing to join Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners will complete the Brighton defender’s transfer upon his return from vacation.

It is believed that both clubs have reached an agreement and that it will only be for the former Leeds loaner to return from vacation and the transfer will be completed.

The 24-year-old has seen a meteoric rise in football in the past two years after helping Leeds advance to the Premier League in the 2019-2020 season.

He built on that by becoming one of Brighton’s key players last season.

His performances for the Seagulls earned him a spot on the English squad for Euro 2020 and he will now join Arsenal, which is a step above Brighton.

However, former Premier League star Mills believes the defender is better than Arsenal and his ambitions must be questioned if he joins the Emirates.

Mills said on talkSPORT: “I think he’s a great addition to Arsenal, he’s a really good addition and he’s an excellent player.

“I just wonder what his ambitions are?

“I’m surprised that there aren’t any bigger clubs that have signed up for him or better clubs that are more likely to win something.

“I watch Arsenal and probably Arsenal fans are probably steaming on Twitter or whatever, but will Arsenal win or even fight for the title in the next two or three seasons? I think that’s unlikely.

“He’s 24, so he’s going to compete in both years 26 and 27. He won’t spend a year at Arsenal for £ 50million and then leave.

“I don’t see him winning anything at Arsenal.

“I think he would have the opportunity to go to bigger clubs with better chances of winning trophies and play Champions League football, which would do his international career very well.

“I think he’s better than Arsenal, he can do better than them.
