Oakland metropolis councilmember Noel Gallo, enterprise proprietor reacts to Oakland A’s probably transferring out of metropolis

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) – Will the Oakland A stay or will it go? On Friday, Oakland Councilor Noel Gallo broke the ugly truth in the battle to keep the team rooted in Oakland.
“We have to remember the Oakland A, they are a business. They are in to make money. The Fisher family owns the team and they are in to make money and that is the bottom line for them.” said he says.

While the city council negotiates a possible Oakland waterfront to house the team, business owners remain optimistic.
“We want people to see the bigger picture and see this as a great opportunity,” said Logan Taylor, owner of Bae Boats. He and his wife just opened their business in January.
“It’s hard. It’s frustrating,” said Taylor at the thought of the A’s moving out of Oakland.
The council is expected to vote this summer on whether to develop a new waterfront stadium for the A’s.
