Man hospitalized after being attacked with pipe in Mission District theft: SFPD
(KRON) – A man was hospitalized Wednesday night following a robbery in the Mission District, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The incident happened around 10:05 p.m. at Duboce Avenue and Guerrero Street, where the suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a metal pipe.
Cell phone thefts are on the rise in San Francisco
The suspect stole the victim’s cellphone, gym bag, wallet, tablet and cash, SFPD said. The unknown victim is a 54-year-old man who is hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, a 38-year-old man, tried to flee but was later arrested. Police did not release the man’s name.
There were at least eight cell phone thefts in San Francisco last week.
