Loretta Ann Lechich
April 2, 1943 – March 14, 2023
Born and raised in Stockton, California, Loretta attended St. Mary’s High School and Stockton Junior College before moving to San Francisco in 1969 to pursue a career in the travel industry and worked for American Express for 30 years.
Loretta has been a member of Travellarians/SF Women in Travel for over 25 years and served as President from 1990-1991. She reported weekly to the California Pacific Medical Center, Animal Care and Control, and worked in guest service for the San Francisco Giants during the season.
Loretta loved entertaining friends and family, hosting cousin parties, Labor Day gatherings, as well as annual Christmas parties.
Loretta is survived by her sister Sally Lechich, godchildren Lori Calosso King, Stephen Dunn and Jackie Lee Martin, her beloved Cockerpoo Bella, as well as many cousins in Stockton and Northern Italy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SF-SPCA, St. Mary’s High School (Stockton), St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church (San Francisco) in memory of Loretta.
A funeral service will be held on Monday 24 April at 11:00 am at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church, 2544 Plymouth Road, Stockton (church entrance and Country Club Dr car park). She is buried in the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery.
