SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) – Police found the body of a man who was reported missing five weeks ago in a crawl room in his own home.
During a second search of the man’s home on Monday, San Francisco police found the body of 50-year-old Christopher Woitel in a three-foot-high room above the bathroom of his home on Guerrero Street in the city’s mission district.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office has opened an investigation into his death, despite police said the incident was not suspected of foul play. The cause of death is not yet known.
Police said Woitel likely accessed the crawl space from the roof of the building and not from his home. He was reported missing on January 13 by his mother, who said she had not heard from him since January 9.
