John was born in July 1939, in Castleisland, Co. Kerry, Ireland, emigrated to the U.S. and found his way to San Francisco in 1957. After an initial stint as a Park Ranger in Tilden and the East Bay Regional Parks, John became and remained an accomplished Plumber. Throughout his life, John loved his family, friends, animals, music, dance, and nature. He will be sorely missed.
Friends may visit Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016 at 5:00pm, Vigil Service at 7:00pm at Duggan’s Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd, at 11:00am at Saint Gabriel’s Church, 2559 40th Ave, San Francisco. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the ALS Foundation Forbes Norris Research and Treatment Center or the San Francisco SPCA.
