Joe Burrow, Cincinnati QB, escapes San Francisco sack for completion

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow led his team to a scoring drive early in the first quarter of Sunday’s NFL Week 8 game against the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium, and one play in particular, in which Burrow somehow escaped a Niners’ pass rush closing in on him and completed a pass to receiver Tee Higgins, blew fans away.

“Burrow’s moving better than he has in any game this year,” CBS analyst Tony Romo said.

“It was an amazing escape too, folks,” CBS play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz added.

“I really think the Bengals are just starting their season right now,” Romo continued. “I mean this is the team that we were expecting. Everybody writes them off every year.”

It was the Bengals’ third consecutive opening-drive touchdown.
