Jason McDowell, 49 of Van Buren, died at his home on Saturday February 4, 2023. He was a master plumber for 26 years. He was a member of The Refuge Ministries in Van Buren. He is preceded in death by his father, Kim McDowell.
He is survived out of the home by his nineteen-year-old wife, Anissa Jill McDowell; a daughter Emma Maelei McDowell of the home, two sons Dustin Walker McDowell and his wife Kyla of the Ozark and Austin Lane Gosch of San Francisco, California; two grandsons Turner Dane Branch and Garedth Jefferson Branch of Ozark; his mother Nancy McDowell of Fort Smith; a brother Travis McDowell and his wife Tonya of Fort Smith; most recently his canine companions Apollo and Baxter.
The funeral will be held on Saturday 11 February 2023 at 10am at The Refuge Ministries, Van Buren, with Pastor Cliff Weldon presiding. Burial will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be John Winters, Neil Griggs, Derek Stowe, Jimmy Manuel, Heath Walker, Brian Moore and Michael Fowler.
Honorary pallbearer will be Dane Douglas.
