In accordance with The New York Occasions, extra individuals are shifting to Panama Metropolis throughout the pandemic
PANAMA CITY, Florida (WJHG / WECP) – Sales signs are posted in front of houses across town, but they don’t stay up late. Taylor Buckalew, real estate agent at Corcoran Reverie, said the Panama City market has been booming lately.
“Right now, in the past few months, there has been a massive influx of people who have moved here. When I move to Panama City I think especially for a small town feel, be off the coast, work remotely and you are close to the water, ”said Buckalew.
Panama City ranked eighth, according to a New York Times study that looked at the number of people moving to cities in the United States. The study showed that the city’s network increased by 3.4 points from 2019 to 2020.
Panama City Mayor Greg Brudnicki said he believes this is because so many people have been working from home since the pandemic.
“If you can live and work remotely in Florida or Panama City instead of New York or San Francisco or something, it wouldn’t be more beneficial to do your job where the cost of living is lower, the climate better, ”said Brudnicki.
Brudnicki said he was excited to see how things get better since so many residents moved out after Hurricane Michael.
“Panama City is the other side of the bridge and now, with everything that has happened since the storm, all the positive things that we have here, we kind of put ourselves on the map,” said Brudnicki.
Panama City is on the map for people across the country looking to settle down and settle down. Buckalew said he saw people moving to the city from Tennessee, Georgia, New York, Texas and California.
