How To Assist Caldor Fireplace Victims – CBS San Francisco

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE (CBS SF) – As the intensity of the Caldor fire subsided and containment increased on Tuesday, thousands returned to homes after spending weeks or days in evacuation centers.
The fire destroyed at least 776 homes, most of them in the devastated community of Grizzly Flats near where the fire broke out on August 14.
Here is a list of ways to help the burn victims.
- El Dorado Community Foundation – The El Dorado County Community Foundation has set up a Caldor Fire

- Project camp – Project Camp is a trauma-informed pop-up day camp that supports children and families affected by disasters. They enroll children evacuated during the Caldor Fire and Dixie Fire,
and are dependent on volunteers. You can volunteer here: https://projectcamp.co/ - El Dorado County Animal Services – Donations to support the long-term care of small and large animals that have been evacuated and housed due to the Caldor fire can be made available through our Pet-Aid-Fonds (please state as “Pet-Aid-Caldor Fire”) For items, please contact our Animal Services Call Center at (530) 621-5795 to find out which items are most needed and where these items can be delivered.
