Home Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco residence vandalized in a single day on New Yr’s Day

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) – A San Francisco home owned by House Spokeswoman Nancy Pelosi was demolished early Friday morning, with an obvious indication of failed efforts by lawmakers to provide Americans with 2,000 COVID-19 relief checks .
The graffiti was posted overnight on the garage door of Pelosi’s house with the words “$ 2K”, “Cancel Rent!” Found. and “We want everything.”

As of early Friday afternoon, the garage door was covered with black garbage bags.
The vandals also left fake blood and a pig’s head in front of the House Speakers house in San Francisco.
“There are many unresolved issues and I don’t think this is a useful way to get there and a terrible start to the new year,” said Audrey Carlson, who has lived in the Pacific Heights neighborhood for 38 years.
It is unclear whether Pelosi was home at the time of the vandalism.

Security cameras surround Nancy Pelosi’s house.
On the street, guards like Fred Kennerley of a private security firm hired specifically to protect several residents of the affluent neighborhood said, “She’s got her own security. She has a Capitol Police that they fly with her all the way from Washington, DC. “
Kennerley says this is not the first time these attacks have taken place outside of Speaker Pelosi’s house.
“Last time they hung the hairdryers and things on the trees,” Kennerley said.
We contacted the FBI’s San Francisco office and they partially replied, “In accordance with DOJ guidelines, we cannot approve or deny certain FBI activity or the presence of an investigation.”
San Francisco police have confirmed they answered a phone call reporting the vandalism at 2:00 a.m. on January 1.

“Unknown suspects painted graffiti on the garage door and left a pig’s head on the sidewalk,” said SFPD. “The SFPD Special Investigations Division is investigating. Americans received $ 1,200 for the first time under a COVID-19 relief deal at the start of the pandemic.
“The government should do everything possible to help the people during this time,” said Bella Whalen, a Pacific Heights resident.
Months later, lawmakers pushed through an additional $ 600 aid checks that Americans are now receiving.
President Donald Trump last month urged Congress to increase the checks to $ 2,000, which Democrats then put to the vote before being blocked by Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The GOP leader claimed Congress had already provided enough aid to Americans during the pandemic.
