Fireplace Burns San Leandro Home In a single day – CBS San Francisco

SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) – A nighttime fire severely damaged a house in San Leandro and displaced residents, firefighters said Wednesday.

The Alameda County Fire Department said the fire was reported around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to the department’s social media posts, the fire started on the outside of the building and extended into the apartment and also charred a neighbor’s house.

Three residents of the burned house were evicted, but the services of the Red Cross were refused, the fire department said.

The department said that residents or firefighters were not injured.
