WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The frozen food delivery and merchandise company Cygnus Home Service, LLC has announced it will be laying off 32 workers statewide, including 13 in central Wisconsin.
Cygnus Home Service, LLC, as part of Yelloh, manages frozen food delivery including products from Schwan’s Company.
According to a Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development WARN report on Tuesday, Yelloh is undergoing layoffs nationwide and these layoffs are permanent. The Wausau location will see seven layoffs while the Marshfield location will have six people laid off. The locations in Eau Claire, Marshfield, Rice Lake, and Wausau are also set to close.
An email from Yelloh to area city leaders states that these are non-union positions and there are no applicable bumping rights. The employees will be paid through July 27 of this year and will remain on the company’s benefits plan, consistent with the WARN Act requirements.
