The air district said Wednesday that the ongoing forest fires in Northern California will likely cause foggy and smoky skies for the next two days, with some smoke coming to the surface at times, but general air quality in the area is expected to be good to moderate.

The warnings were released on Wednesday as most of the Bay Area enjoyed respite from wildfire smoke as the wind pushed smoke from the Caldor and Dixie fires northeast since Tuesday.
The air quality warnings have come up frequently over the past few weeks due to forest fire smoke, and when air pollution was worse, the air district issued the Spare the Air warnings that prohibit burning wood both indoors and outdoors.
