Yelp’s newest replace contains AI options, new evaluation choices and extra

Yelp has announced a series of updates to its website and apps, including a slight introduction to the AI trend. New features include a consumer guarantee, expanded rating options, and password-free logins.

Yelp uses AI and natural language models to further improve its search capabilities. If you are looking for a specific location, e.g. B. a tennis court, Yelp suggests options and adds a review with helpful information about visiting that place – e.g. B. the possibility to book in advance. Other updates include showing relevant businesses across the country and clickable tags like “breakfast and brunch.”

If you’re not sure what you’re craving, the new “Surprise Me” button suggests a well-rated restaurant near you. It’s available right on your search page, and you can keep clicking on it until something tickles your taste buds.

Yelp Guaranteed is a new protection available to people who want to hire everyone from plumbers to contractors. Customers using Yelp’s Request for Quote service can find businesses that are “Backed by Yelp Guaranteed” — it shows right on their information page. If something goes wrong after you hire one of them, Yelp will refund you up to $2,500.

It’s currently only available in select major cities like San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle, with only iOS users able to filter by it. According to Yelp, it will roll out nationwide this summer and expand to Android and web users.

Yelp encourages users to cover food, service, and ambiance in their reviews, with each topic appearing at the top of the page. When you mention something in one of the categories, it will glow green and have a check mark next to it. You can now also add videos up to 12 seconds long along with your rating.

Recent updates from Yelp focus on the look and logistics of the site. Just like with reviews, Yelp Connect — the paid option for business owners to share updates — now has a video option. The Yelp homepage and navigation pages have also been updated to provide easier access to restaurant menus and reviews.

This should all be accessible a little faster now that Yelp is finally offering automatic signups. The next time you log in, you’ll receive a secure email, and from then on you won’t have to worry about your password again. Many of these are small changes, but overall, Yelp could become a bit more comprehensive in the future.
