TikToker reveals the wildest ‘tradition shocks’ she skilled after transferring to Sweden

A woman goes viral after sharing the biggest “culture shocks” she experienced after moving to Sweden. The list of surprising cultural differences came from a TikTok user named Madeline (@madelineraeaway). In their clip, The TikToker reveals their surprise about why Swedes “only” eat sweets on Saturdays. According to Atlas Obscura, it dates back to the 1940s when a Swedish study linked tooth decay and frequent candy consumption. As a solution, many parents started giving their children a “day off” to eat sweets. The phenomenon even has a name: lördagsgodis, which roughly translates as “Saturday candy”.
