The jilted lover and ex-handyman accused in the horrific slaying of the Queens married mother of two Orsolya Gaal will not testify before the grand jury due to the charges against him, his lawyer told the judge.

David Bonola, 44, was marched into Queens Supreme Court in orange prison garb Tuesday with his long curly brown hair tied back and a mask partially covering his face.

The handcuffed Bonola did not utter a word as the female translator spoke to him in Spanish and his lawyer addressed the judge.

‘Mr. Bonola will not be testing before a grand jury. We withdraw from their request for him to appear before a grand jury,’ Attorney David Strom from Queens Defenders said.

Bonola, who is from Mexico, had been living in the US for the last 21 years. Police said he had been living in New York in violation of immigration law before the gruesome murder

The former handyman was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree evidence tampering and fourth-degree weapon possession in relation to the brutal murder, a report said.

Bonola allegedly admitted to stabbing Gaal more than 58 times before stuffing her body in a duffel bag and dragging it down her residential Forest Hills street in the early morning hours of April 16.

He made his purported confession when questioned by police, making incriminating statements after voluntarily going to the police station amid the investigation.

Bonola was taken away by police escorts after his appearance in court on Tuesday

Bonola was obsessed with New York City crime and how to seduce women, according to his YouTube channel.

One week before the murder, the suspect updated his playlist by saving videos including one titled: ‘7 Mindsets that Attract Women Like Crazy.’

Some of the tips were how to attract beautiful woman and make ‘you become unstoppable with women… without you really having to do anything.’

Bonola did not upload videos himself, but instead saved a series of clips that he liked onto a playlist on his YouTube account, which is publicly visible.

Other videos Bonola saved included titles like ‘Pickup and first date confidence’ and ‘how to go down on a woman’

Additional videos on his playlist were sexually graphic in nature, while others dealt with topics such as: ‘How to deal with a relationship when a woman is just not that into you;’ ‘How you know you are with a Hungarian woman;’ ‘Male magnetic mindset that drives women wild.

His YouTube channel shows he saved thousands of shooting, rapes and murders, on curated playlists, including 754 videos of local news reports of violent crimes, The New York Post reported.

Some of the stabbing videos were eerily similar to the brutal slaying on the Queens mother. One of his videos shared the news report of Amie Harwick, a former sex therapist, who reportedly sought two restraining orders against ex-boyfriend before her February 2020 murder in Hollywood, the news outlet said

Orsolya Gaal, who was the mother of two teenage sons, was of Hungarian-descent

Gaal had hired Bonola to do handyman work in her Forest Hills home. The pair had been having an on-off affair for two years before he allegedly murdered her with a kitchen knife in her basement during the early hours of April 16, while her 13-year-old son was upstairs.

Surveillance footage captured just hours after her murder showed Bonola walking along 114th Street near his apartment in Richmond Hill, just after 6am.

He is seen with bandage wrapped around his left hand as he makes his way down the street before heading into his apartment.

A photo of the tudor-style home that Orsolya Gaal, 51, had lived in with her husband and two sons before the tragic murder on April 16, 2022.

The day of the killing, Bonola allegedly headed to a CityMD in order to receive help for cuts on his hands. He was referred to Bellevue Hospital after urgent care doctors said the wounds were too deep for them to treat.

Police said they received a call around 8.10am on Saturday for a report of ‘a suspicious bag with blood on it at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and Jackie Robinson Parkway in Forest Hills.’ The bag held Gaal’s body.

Cops then followed a trail of blood left by the dragged bag, leading back to Gaal’s home. They found son, Leo, inside unscathed and took him in for questioning, putting him in handcuffs, before letting him go later that day.

Gaal’s husband Howard Klein and her older son Jamie, who had been on the West Coast, rushed back. They have not been seen or heard from since.

He had reportedly gone over to the home in an attempt to resurrect the affair as the relationship had come to ‘the end’.

Bonola later confessed to the heinous crime after being spotted by police days after the murder.

Police sources told the New York Post that he was very ‘matter of fact,’ and that he proceeded to eat a bagel with cream cheese as if nothing had happened

‘It was very matter of fact, very thorough, he answered every question they had,’ a police source told the newspaper. At no point did he request a lawyer.

The day of Bonola’s arrest he screamed: ‘F**k you motherf****r!’ when a group of reporters asked him why he killed Gaal.

Bonola has been living in the US illegally after moving from Mexico 20 years ago. His estranged wife and children are believed to live in Queens with him.

NYPD detectives declined to comment on Bonola’s immigrant status but ICE has now filed a detainer with Queens Central Booking, where he is being held.

It is unclear if he will face additional charges related to his immigration status.

Bonola will next court appearance will be May 10, according to the Queens District Attorney’s office.

Cops want to question a former handyman lover of slain Queens mom Orsolya Gaal who had intimate knowledge of her home — including where the family kept a spare key, The Post has learned.

The man, who has not yet been formally identified as a person of interest or suspect in the gruesome slaying, is believed to have had a romantic relationship with the 51-year-old married mother of two before the affair went south, law enforcement sources said.

It’s unclear when the relationship began and ended, but according to sources familiar with the case, the man knew where the family kept a spare key at their well-kept Forest Hills Tudor and would have been able to access the home without breaking in.

Gaal was stabbed nearly 60 times sometime in the week hours Saturday inside the front of the home, with her corpse then taken to the basement, sources and authorities have said. She was stashed in a black Bauer hockey bag similar to one belonging to her kids, and the pouch containing her body was dragged outside and dumped about a half-mile away, leaving behind a trail of blood, cops said.

Police believe the killer knew Gaal because there were no signs of a break-in, and considering the violent nature of the crime, they suspect the attack was personal and fueled by anger specifically toward her, sources said.

Police are looking to question a man who believe they had a past relationship with slain Queens mom Orsolya Gaal, according to sources.orsolya.gaal.9/Facebook

The man has not yet been named a suspect or person of interest in the fatal stabbing.Howard Klein/Facebook

But the grisly slaying did not appear to be pre-meditated, sources said.

“[Detectives] don’t think it was a planned murder,” a law enforcement source said.

“He left a blood trail for five blocks from the house,” the source said.

“It was like a trail of bread crumbs.

“If you want to kill somebody, you try to make it a little cleaner, be a little more prepared. He didn’t go with something to move her body. He took something from the house,” the source said.

Gaal’s husband, Howard Klein, and older son were away touring colleges during the attack.orsolya.gaal.9/Facebook

“I’m sure with that kind of blood, there’s lots of DNA there,” the source added. “The killer’s DNA has gotta be in that blood. It’s not a clean scene.”

Cops are also looking to speak with several men Gaal had been texting with before her death, sources said, as detectives plastered posters around the neighborhood offering a $3,500 reward in exchange for tips.

“UP TO $3,500 REWARD FOR INFORMATION REGARDING A HOMICIDE,” the poster states in bold red letters beside a photo of Gaal’s home and the number for Crime Stoppers.

NYPD sources told The Post on Tuesday that detectives had asked the Queens District Attorney’s Office for a search warrant shortly after tracing the blood back to Gaal’s house Saturday morning.

But investigators weren’t given the warrant until early evening, costing them valuable time in gathering evidence, sources said.

The DA’s office did not immediately respond to a post request for comment.

On Tuesday afternoon, the family’s electrician, Arrjuna Jack, stopped by Gaal’s home, which is still wrapped in crime-scene tape, after he heard that she’d been killed on the news.

“I’m very started,” said Jack, 30, adding that he was frequently at the family’s home to do electrical work, as well as some power-washing and painting.

“I know her very well. Her husband’s very nice. Her two sons … are very nice as well. …It’s very sad.”

Jack called Gaal “very beautiful” and said that as far as he could tell, the family didn’t have any issues.

“She’s a very happy, jolly person all the time. … I see her jogging all the time,” Jack said.

“They’re a very beautiful, quiet family. Very happy all the time.”

On Friday evening, Gaal headed out with friends to see a show at Lincoln Center before returning to Queens around midnight and hitting a bar in her neighborhood, where she hung out alone for about 40 minutes, apparently waiting for someone, police sources said.

Samson Cornejo, whose father owns 5 Burro Cafe on Austin Street, said Gaal was a regular at the watering hole but added he’s not sure if she was there late Friday.

“Her house is a 10-minute walk. … She comes here, y’know, she’s been here before. She used to come with some Russian ladies,” Cornejo told The Post on Tuesday.

“I saw the bag, where they found it, after I left that night. I drove by it after leaving here. I couldn’t believe when I heard. It smacked me when I saw her picture!”

Gaal’s 13-year-old son was home when cops went to the house Saturday morning after his mother’s body was discovered. The boy was upstairs at the time, and there is no indication he left the house at all overnight, sources said.

Gaal’s husband and 17-year-old son were out of state on a college tour at the time.

About two months later, she posted an ominous message to a community Facebook page asking for information on how to buy pepper spray.

“Given the recent attack on a woman in Forest Park and the general uptick of crime and seedy characters in the neighborhood, I sought info here to get mace / pepper spray for my runs in the park,” the post states.

A Colorado man suspected in the 1978 slaying of a 15-year-old girl visiting San Francisco will be arraigned on murder charges Thursday, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin said Wednesday.

Mark Stanley Personette, 76, was arrested in December in connection with the sexual assault and killing of 15-year-old Marissa Harvey.

Marissa had traveled from New York to San Francisco to visit her sister in 1978, and went to Golden Gate Park on March 27 with plans for renting a horse but didn’t return, police said.

She was reported missing and her body was found in nearby Sutro Heights Park the next day.

The case went cold for 43 years until last fall, when a DNA hit in a genealogy database linked DNA taken from the crime scene to Personette, authorities said.

Personette was arrested Dec. 16 in Colorado and extradited. He is set to be arranged at 9 am Thursday.

“We are proud of our team and our collaboration with SFPD to solve this crime,” Boudin said. “We will work to ensure that Mr. Personette is held accountable for the brutal and heinous acts that took Marissa’s life and to bring closure to her family, which has never stopped advocating for justice.”

RICHMOND (CBS SF) — Using the latest advances in DNA technology, police cold case investigators announced Thursday they have identified Jerry Lee Henderson as the suspect responsible for the 1999 murder of Meekiah Wadley inside a Richmond home.

While Henderson died 11 days after the murder of a suspected overdose, Richmond police hoped the revelation would provide some measure of closure for their relatives.

READ MORE: Experts Advise Caution, Not Fear, as COVID Infections Rise in San Francisco

“Over the course of more than 20 years, law enforcement working this case never gave up,” said California Attorney General Rob Bonta at a press conference. “It is my sincere hope that this resolution brings the family of Meekiah Wadley a measure of peace. Nothing can ever bring back a loved one, but we’re committed to doing all we can to help bring the truth to light in the fight for justice.”

Acting Richmond Police Chief Louie Tirona added: “It is my hope that this news brings needed closure to all those who knew and loved Meekiah Wadley.”

RAW: Family Demands Acting Richmond Police Chief Identify Meekiah Wadley’s Killer

At first, law enforcement at the news conference refused to identify the murderer, saying they didn’t want to give him any notoriety.

“Why give someone fame and notoriety for a murder,” asked Acting Richmond Police Chief Louie Tirona.

But Wadley’s family – also present at the news conference and wearing “We love you” shirts showing an image of a smiling Wadley- insisted that they name him, and Tirona did eventually identify Henderson by name.

“Answers might not come today but it will come tomorrow. It’s going to come,” said Meekiah’s sister Quila Wadley.

“My favorite auntie. She was beautiful, outgoing and smart. Loved to hang out and have fun,” said her niece Devinee Peterson.

The Wadley family said Henderson was a friend of a friend of Meekiah’s, who went into her home when she was out for the night, and when she came home he raped and suffocated her.

Meekia’s family says Henderson was a friend of a friend, but that there was no other relationship besides that.

“I’m angry, hurt and sad,” said Peterson. “We came to let the world know who it was and not to shove it under the rug. His family should know what he did.”

The case dates back to January 1999. Richmond police responded to a call to a residence at the 1300 block of Carlson Blvd. after a nearby neighbor reported hearing screaming coming from the residence.

READ MORE: Pro-Planet Partisans Bond at Bay Area Earth Day Weekend Events

When the neighbor went to the residence and knocked on the front door, the police were told the screaming continued for approximately 30 seconds. The neighbor retreated to his apartment and called 911.

Arriving officers found the front door locked but the back door was unlocked and ajar. Once inside the home, officers found Wadley on the floor of her bedroom. Her hands were bound together with shoelaces, she had been killed by asphyxia due to smothering.

A buck knife was located under her body.

The initial investigation focused on a man she spent the prior evening with. Other than the initial person she was seen with the prior evening, there were no investigative leads. That person was ultimately ruled out as a suspect.

A variety of DNA testing was conducted in the years following the slaying.

In 2002, a mixed DNA profile was developed from swabs collected from Wadley’s hands and a bloodstain at the crime scene. This DNA profile was submitted to the California Department of Justice (DOJ) to search the offender database. There were no matches.

In 2020, additional DNA testing was requested, focusing on previously untested fingernail clippings and ligatures. A male DNA profile from Wadley’s fingernail clippings was developed.

In October 2020, the DNA profile created by the Contra Costa County crime lab was submitted to the DOJ’s DNA Data Bank Program to conduct a familial search of the state DNA index system.

In April 2021, California Department of Justice and Bureau of Forensic Services and Bureau of Investigation agents presented the results of the requested family search. The DOJ’s investigation revealed a person who was a potential first-degree relative of the male suspect. But the relative was ruled out as a suspect.

Since Henderson also died in January 1999, the DNA search became even more complicated.

With the assistance of the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, detectives were able to track down an immediate relative in September 2021. A buccal swab was obtained from the person and submitted to the crime lab.

On September 17, 2021, Richmond police received notification that the buccal swab from the relative confirmed Henderson’s DNA matched the fingernail clippings from Wadley and investigators concluded Henderson was the person responsible for the murder.

Authorities say Henderson died of an apparent drug overdose 11 days after the murder.

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – Two foreign suspects were arrested and charged in November when an Oakland woman on a cul-de-sac on Lakeshore Ave has been involved in gunfights since May seven.

Oakland police said Lashawn Price, 33, a resident of Stockton, and Torrin Dupclay, 32, a resident of Crockett, were in custody for their roles in killing 22-year-old Devani AlemanSanchez on November 11th.

CONTINUE READING: Missing Tahoe skier Rory Angelotta is believed to be dead after disappearing on Christmas Day

According to court documents, prosecutors also charged the couple with attempted murder of two other people during the same incident and robbery at gunpoint on December 5th and 6th.

Oakland Police Chief LeRonne L. Armstrong held a press conference earlier this week to address violence in the city, particularly at 1400 block on Lakeshore Ave.

It came after a man was shot dead in the same cul-de-sac over the weekend.

“We’ve been working with the community for the last month or so to monitor the violence we saw on the 1400 block of Lakeshore,” Armstrong said. “We don’t think this latest murder has anything to do with previous criminal cases, but we know this is an area that people love to come and congregate. It’s a scenic area. It is a place that a lot of people come to when they want to see the lake or to visit the lake. “

Oakland has stepped up police presence in the area to curb the increase in violence on the Lakeshore.

“I would like to say, without going into specific cases, we have seen whenever people hang around there, either in the evening or early morning hours, consuming alcohol or using drugs, have made contact with other people in the area that we have believe they may be involved in illegal activity, ”said Captain James Beere of the Oakland Police Department, who is in charge of enforcement in the area.

“Unfortunately, there are sometimes confrontations or clashes that escalate into violent crimes and shootings.”

Sanchez was standing in front of a vehicle when at least one person approached her and tried to rob her. The shooter shot her. She was taken to a hospital where she died a few days later.

The last murder took place on Christmas Eve. The officers reacted to reports of gunfire around 8:19 p.m. When they arrived, the officers found a man in the middle of the street.

Firemen and an ambulance tried to save the man, but he died in the hospital. His name was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.

It was the 134th murder in the city – the highest number in Oakland since 148 in 2006. Last year, Oakland Police investigated 109 murders in the city.

Michael Ziolkowski lives in the facility and heard four opposing recordings on Christmas Eve. From his apartment he saw the victim lying in the middle of the street. He said it appeared the man had been shot in the back.

“Several people around him are trying to help him and whatever and tell him to lie down. He kept trying to get up, ”said Ziolkowski.

The incident kicked off a heavy Christmas weekend in Oakland. Police said there were multiple shootings, robberies and car thefts.

People who live in the Lake Merritt area said they no longer feel safe there.

“It’s been getting more dangerous the last six months I’ve lived here,” said Maya Hendricks area residence.

Hendricks no longer feels safe at Lake Merritt. She stays at home after dark.

“It is not customary to leave [my home] after 7 or 8 pm I try to get in just before the sun goes down, ”said Hendricks, who was walking her dog.

“It’s scary. I don’t know why the increase. I think there has been a lot of activity here since the pandemic,” said Tsiolkovsky.

The 1400 block on Lakeshore Avenue is a popular spot where people just park, hang around in their cars, and admire the views of Lake Merritt. Most people just assume it’s a safe place until they find out about all of the shootings.

“It’s a little intimidating and nerve wracking. It’s a little scary, ”said Matthew Ball, who was walking his dog by the lake.

As for Hendricks, she said the beauty and vibrancy surrounding the lake is no longer worth the risk.

The Kerr County man, suspected in the last week’s shooting of his wife and son, died Tuesday night in a San Antonio hospital from injuries that authorities suspect were self-inflicted.

Kerr County Sheriff Rusty Hierholzer reported the death of Mark “Cornbread” Cormier, 54, at the San Antonio Military Medical Center on Wednesday.

He had been treated there for a shot in the head on Friday in connection with the incident in which Candace “Candy” Cormier, 61, and Jeremiah Cormier, 10, died.

“The investigation is ongoing,” said Hierholzer. “We’re still looking at your computers and trying to figure out a subject.”

CONNECTED: The Kerr County suspect reportedly asked for forgiveness

He said an injured Mark Cormier showed up early Friday at a neighbor’s home in the Shalako neighborhood on Goat Creek Road (FM 1338) asking for forgiveness for unspecified acts.

Rescue workers arrived to find the bodies of Candy Cormier, a real estate agent, and her adopted son in their home.

Mark Cormier, who owned a chimney sweep business, declined to speak to investigators before getting into an ambulance, Hierholzer said, and was unavailable due to a heart attack he suffered on the way to the hospital.

Hierholzer said two pistols had been seized at the scene and no one was suspected of being involved in the shootings.
