CDA members not only offer exclusive savings on products and services to support their day-to-day business, but also training courses and other learning opportunities on finance, human resources, dental billing and other topics.

For example, over the past two months, WEO Media has hosted a webinar to help dentists align their websites with the Americans with Disabilities Act, while Bank of America and CDA jointly hosted a webinar for associate dentists who are concerned about it ponder whether a practice owned is right for them. These courses were available to members through CDA’s online learning platform.

Now CDA’s Endorsed Services are coming to CDA Presents in San Francisco from September 9th to 11th. All will be on site in the Moscone Center exhibition hall, and some will be presenting courses. Unless otherwise stated, all courses take place in The Spot, the open educational theater at booth 1212.

Here is a preview of the courses presented by CDA’s Endorsed Services.

‘Trends in Dental Billing in 2021’ presented by Consentus Business Services

Thursday, September 9, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.
Speakers: Gwyn Bogue, Krysten Garduno
1 unit CE

COVID-19 has impacted the dental landscape for the past year and a half, which in turn has changed internal billing practices. Consentus Business Services revenue cycle management experts will discuss how the dental team can adapt and overcome these billing challenges and use coding and software to increase production. Participants will understand dental and medical cross-coding and learn how to improve the patient and teledental experience.

California Dental Practice Act presented by HR for Health

Friday, September 10th, 8-10 a.m. and again 1 p.m.-1 p.m.
Saturday, September 11th, 8-10 a.m.
Speaker: Ali Oromchian, JD
2 CE units

The California Dental Practice Act contains the basic laws for dentistry (Business & Professions Code 1600). California law requires every dentist to familiarize himself with this constitution, along with appropriate portions of the California Code of Regulations and other selected California laws. Ali Oromchian will explain the legal roles and responsibilities of dentists and dental assistants and the laws governing dental professional licenses.

‘Advanced Marketing Strategies for Accelerating Practice Growth’ presented by WEO Media

Friday, September 10th, 1 p.m.
Speaker: Cory Roletto, MBA

Existing and newly established dental practices learn to create a comprehensive marketing strategy that follows the latest changes and trends in online marketing. Participants learn which key elements they implement in their marketing strategy and how they can measure their success. Speaker Cory Roletto will also talk about changes in website optimization, social media and Google’s algorithm that can be used to optimize the practice website and generate new patients.

‘The Path to Ownership’ – 2-part course presented by Bank of America

Thursday, September 10th, self-study
Speaker: Katie Fornelli, Jason Tyson

Can I take out a loan? Is now the right time to buy? Am I ready to be a leader and how do I deal with patients?
The country’s foremost health and medical experts from the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced in a joint statement that the Biden government is ready to launch Moderna boosters in the week of 20 two-shot vaccines.

Americans who were the first to get vaccinated against COVID-19 – health care providers, nursing home residents and the elderly – will likely be eligible for a booster by the end of next month, public health officials said.
SACRAMENTO (CBS SF) – Following a US Supreme Court ruling in favor of college athletes’ compensation, two major California lawmakers say they will introduce the state’s pioneering Fair Pay to Play Act in time for the 2021 college football season want.

State law that allows college and university athletes in California to make money using their name, picture, and likeness does not currently go into effect until January 1, 2023.

ALSO READ: U.S. Supreme Court Aids College Athletes In A Major College Compensation Case

State Senators Nancy Skinner, D-Berkeley, and Steven Bradford, D-Gardena, say they plan to go into effect September 1st.

“California has taken state action to challenge the NCAA’s exploitation of college athletes, and today the Supreme Court essentially agreed to tell the NCAA that they could no longer act as monopoly“ price fixers, ”” Skinner said in a statement on Monday. “And with 18 states following California’s lead to give student athletes ownership of their name, image and likeness, student athletes are the winners.”

NIL laws in seven states – Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Mississippi, and Texas – will come into effect this year.

“Postponing the entry into force of the Fair Pay to Play Act is a sensible move to ensure that college student athletes, many of whom are people of color, are treated earlier with financial fairness and economic ownership,” said Bradford. “It also enables California higher education institutions to attract the best talent compared to schools in other states that would otherwise have a head start in attracting athletes by implementing similar guidelines earlier.”

CONTINUE READING: Warriors President Rick Welts contemplates winning the 1985 NBA draft lottery at Knicks

The September 1st implementation date makes the law an urgent measure, which means it requires a two-thirds majority in both chambers of the legislature. To date, it has received strong bipartisan support, has no opposition, and has not received “no” votes.

The US Supreme Court ruled Monday that the NCAA cannot enforce certain rules that limit the educational benefits – things like computers and graduate scholarships – that colleges offer athletes. But the case doesn’t determine whether student salaries can be paid.

Colleges harvest billions of student athletes but keep them from making a single dollar. It’s a bankrupt model.

I just signed the Fair Play to Pay Act with @KingJames – making CA the first state to allow student athletes to benefit from their name, image and likeness. pic.twitter.com/aWE9OL9r1v

MORE NEWS: Central Valley skydivers are accused of taking unauthorized courses related to fatal jump

In a unanimous opinion, Judge Brett Kavanaugh wrote: “The bottom line is that the NCAA and its member colleges are cutting the pay of student athletes who collectively generate billions of dollars in college revenue each year. These enormous sums of money seem to flow to everyone except the student athletes. College presidents, sporting directors, coaches, conference commissioners, and NCAA executives earn six- and seven-digit salaries. Colleges are building generous new facilities.
