The owner of an $11million San Francisco mansion hung up posters on their property offering a $10,000 reward for a trespasser who was caught ‘jumping the gate.’

The single-family home built in 1853 is situated on a private lot in Russian Hill, a neighborhood of San Francisco.

Laminated posters were seen along the property’s large white fence and next to the house number with a picture of the unknown intruder.

The poster also displayed text that said: ‘Have you seen this person? Call 911 if you see him or ANYONE jumping the gate or fence.’

‘Man, I want to bring him the guy. I could use $10,000,’ Arthur Vela Boas, a resident of Russian Hill told The San Francisco Standard.

The owner of an $11 million San Francisco mansion has erected this poster appealing for information about a man seen jumping the property’s gate

It went on to say that the hefty reward would be gifted to someone ‘for successful arrest or prosecution.’

DailyMail.com attempted to locate the current owner of the house and contacted neighbors for further information, but it is unclear who the resident is.

Neighbors said that they have seen the posters displayed for approximately two weeks, but don’t think that they are meant to actually catch the suspect.

Daniel Detorie, a neighbor who has lived on the same block as the mansion for 32 years said: ‘I think it’s just to scare him away.’

The 3,890 square foot mansion with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms was first listed at $12million in 2019 but was then brought down to $11million.

It was originally built by Joseph H. Atkinson and is a registered San Francisco Historic Landmark, known as the Atkinson-Escher House.

The breathtaking mansion is pictured center frame. It sits on one of the city’s famed steep hills The Atkinson-Escher House was built in 1853 by Joseph H. Atkinson and is a registered San Francisco Historic Landmark

According to the Pacific Coast Architecture Database, the house was known as a meeting place for occult seances- paranormal spirit activity- and local high society.

Though it looks as though the owner was trying to pinpoint a specific person, neighbors have said they have a hard time making out the pictures on the poster.

‘The photo’s really bad. You can’t recognize the guy,’ Vela Boas said.

The home itself has been updated with an elevator, a two-car garage and excellent views of the Bay Area as its located near North Beach and Nob Hill, California.

Homes in Russian Hill have averaged at $1,452,925, according to Zillow.

In recent times, San Francisco has been known as one of the county’s most crime-ridden cities and has been filled with excessive drug use and homelessness.

Residents have to pick their way through streets full of unconscious and semi-conscious people in the Tenderloin district of the city as drug and homelessness rates have soared

The city’s overdose deaths soared in August with an additional 84 deaths, 66 involving fentanyl, the deadliest month since 2021.

Many businesses have also shut down in the area due to the unsafe nature of the city and high living costs.

Photos of an IKEA store that opened its doors in August revealed the now deserted business, as customers said that persistent construction, lack of parking and constant crime has kept them from shopping there.

On Tuesday morning, Mayor London Breed announced a new, privately funded reward of up to $ 100,000 that will result in the arrest and conviction of those involved in organized crime rings that fuel car break-ins, according to the Mayor’s Office.

According to a press release, the reward will be financed by “private donors in the hotel and tourism industry”. The mayor’s office did not immediately send back a request for further information on these “private donors”.

According to the press release, the San Francisco Police Department and other regional law enforcement agencies have “identified fewer than a dozen regular car break-in teams responsible for the vast majority of the car break-ins that have ravaged Bay Area cities in recent years.”

The mayor’s office said more than $ 225,000 in reward money. Only those who “provide accurate and transparent information will be compensated up to US $ 100,000”.

“The frequent car break-ins in San Francisco are not victimless crimes, they have real financial and emotional consequences for victims, and we continue to work to hold those who commit these crimes accountable,” Breed said in a statement. “These break-ins hurt our residents, especially working families who don’t have the time or money to deal with the effects, as well as visitors to our city whose experiences are too often tarnished after an otherwise positive experience.”

Breed said “good progress” has been made in “the past few months” since the announcement of the tourism plan to deploy additional police officers in San Francisco to protect tourists, but acknowledged that “there is more work to be done.” “.

In recent years, San Francisco residents and visitors have been plagued by seemingly relentless car accidents, in which perpetrators smash victims’ windows and snatch the items inside.

For the week that ended on July 4th alone, 566 car break-ins were reported across the city – a high point in 2021, announced the mayor’s office.

The latest available data for the week ending October 17 shows that San Francisco has reported 358 car break-ins – a 37% decrease from the week ending July 4.

In addition to its tourism deployment plan, SFPD has “stepped up” its “Park Smart” public awareness campaign, the mayor’s office said. The Park Smart campaign, which is a collaboration between several authorities in San Francisco, seeks to educate drivers and visitors about the prevalence of car break-ins and advises them to take the necessary precautions, such as parking in car parks with a companion if possible.

HOUSTON – The plumber responsible for finding a large sum of money inside the walls of a mega church in Houston now says he thinks he should get a reward.

The man who wanted to remain anonymous gave KPRC 2 a glimpse of the moment he found the loot in Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church on November 10th.

“This is probably the most exciting thing I’ve ever seen or done in my life,” says the plumber.

ALSO SEE: Plumber Discovers Money, Checks Joel Osteens Lakewood Church Wall Years After $ 600,000 Burglary

According to the preliminary investigation, Houston police said there was evidence that the case was linked to the March 9, 2014 theft report of undisclosed church funds.

display

The plumber told KPRC 2 that although he did not find any information about the suspect, he believes that he should be rewarded for his discovery.

“I haven’t resolved your case, but I have very important clues as to what might or might have happened there,” he said.

Crime Stoppers originally offered a $ 25,000 reward for the information that led to the arrest of a suspect. Due to the expiry of the statute of limitations in this case of theft, however, the plumber will not receive any reward, says Deputy Director Nichole Christoph.

“That doesn’t rule out Lakewood [Church] to give him a reward or a combination of HPD that congratulates him on doing the right thing, ”said Christoph. “Unfortunately, at this point, Crime Stoppers is no longer in the game.”

However, if the plumber hadn’t fixed the loose toilet on the church, the money would still be in the walls.

“I feel like I should get something,” said the man. “I feel like I should be offered some kind of reward.”

News of the discovery was brought to light on a morning radio broadcast at 100.3 The Bull.

“There was a loose toilet in the wall and we removed the tiles,” said the plumber on the phone. “We went to remove the toilet and I removed some insulation and about 500 envelopes fell off the wall and I thought, ‘Oh wow!'”

HPD continues to investigate both cases.

CONNECTED:

CEDAR GROVE, NC (WNCN) – The Orange County Sheriff’s office offered a cash reward of $ 1,500 for information leading to the arrest of people who stole two HVAC units outside a building in Cedar Grove on Monday.

On Monday morning, a pickup truck drove to the Cedar Grove Ruritan Club at 6116 Efland Cedar Grove Rd. And stole two HVAC units that were outside the building waiting to be installed, a press release said Thursday.

Surveillance photos and videos showed a square-bodied pickup truck, possibly an older Ford. The passenger-side low beam did not work. At least two people were in the truck, which had tinted windows, the press release said.

Sheriff Charles Blackwood offered a $ 1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the theft. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Investigator Jason Nazworth at 919-245-2960 or jnazworth@orangecountync.gov.
