A body found in the water off Pier 39 on Wednesday has been identified as missing San Francisco radio host Jeffrey Vandergrift, according to the San Francisco Medical Investigations Bureau.

San Francisco police first responded to reports of a person in the water at Pier 39 just before 5 p.m

On Thursday, the San Francisco coroner confirmed the body was that of 54-year-old Vandergrift, who was last seen at his King Street home in late February.

His employer, Wild 94.9, said there had been no traceable activity on his phone, credit cards or bank accounts since he was reported missing.

His wife revealed on his radio station’s social media channels that Vandergrift likely “won’t be coming back” based on personal information leaked in early March.

A Bay Area radio DJ has disappeared and may have left a chilling final message for his fans and loved ones in the wake of his disappearance.

Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift, 54, host of the JV Show on radio station Wild 94.9, was last seen at his home in San Francisco around 10 p.m. Thursday.

A post on Vandergrift’s official Instagram account dated August 20 was recently edited to change the caption to the past tense, in which he thanks his listeners and says he’s had a good life.

“Thank you for a wonderful life filled with joy, laughter, pain and struggle.” It’s been a great journey. “Your support and prayers meant the world,” the caption reads.

His listeners, friends and family are now asking the public to help find him and bring him home.

According to his Twitter account, the post was originally shared to mark National Radio Day.

Since he edited the post and disappeared, the comments section has evolved into a place for his fans and loved ones to send him love and support in hopes that maybe he sees it.

“Dear JV. You are loved. “We are all praying for you and thinking of you,” one person wrote.

“We are all praying for you and thinking of you.” Sometimes it’s nice to just get away and clear your head, but we’re worried about you,” said one commenter.

Fans also gathered outside iHeart Radio San Francisco station over the weekend to leave flowers and messages of support for Vandergrift and his colleagues.

Natasha has remained silent about her husband’s disappearance as she works closely with investigators.

She is a former Playboy model and actress who appears on DJ’s radio show. The model was frequently featured in various advertisements for Target, Sony and Marriott.

Her current focus is on her Instagram account, where she showcases model photos and her figure to her 2 million followers.

JV and Natasha tied the knot in 2006 after a three-year relationship. They renewed their wedding vows later in 2017.

The couple quickly bonded over various projects including producing their shows, The Dog House Comedy Show.

While the two thrived in the spotlight, JV took a brief hiatus in 2021 after being diagnosed with Lyme disease, according to The Sun.

San Francisco Police Department officials released a statement last week urging the public to keep an eye out for the “vulnerable” man.

In a statement released by Vandergrift’s radio station, his colleagues said they were worried sick for him and were working with police to get him home.

“We are deeply concerned, and we know you are, that our own joint venture has been reported missing by the SFPD,” Wild 94.9 said in a statement.

“We are working closely with them and his wife Natasha, who is also a dear friend and member of the WiLD 94.9 family.” it further in the statement.

Vandergrift is described as a white male, six feet tall, 180 pounds, balding, and brown eyes.

According to police, he has multiple tattoos, including those on his arms and above his right ear, and was last seen wearing black sweatpants.

According to Bloomberg, the news of his death sparked an “outbreak of sadness” in the tech community. “Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature,” Goldbard said in a statement to CNN. “Bob was the real guy.”

In a press release, the San Francisco Police Department said that around 2:30 a.m. officers were called to the 300 block of Main Street. When officers arrived, they found Lee apparently with stab wounds.

Lee was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries but later died, police said.

Lee was a veteran technology executive and software engineer from Silicon Valley who was involved in the development of Android for Google earlier in his career. He was Square’s first chief technology officer, co-founder of Jack Dorsey, who later founded Twitter. Square launched the money transfer app CashApp in 2013. The app also allows users to trade bitcoin.

According to CNN, Lee joined MobileCoin, a cryptocurrency and digital payments app, as chief product officer in 2021.

“Bob was made for the new world,” he told Bloomberg. “He was the quintessential creator, leader, and consummate hacker. “Bob certainly had an impact that will last well beyond his short life on Earth,” Goldberg said.

There were no arrests.

A San Francisco community is “deeply concerned” as the search continues for a beloved DJ who went missing last week.

In an alert shared on Facebook on Friday, February 24, the San Francisco Police Department said Jeffrey “JV” Vandergrift had not been seen since 10 p.m. the previous night. He was at home at the time and was last seen in black sweatpants.

He is considered “vulnerable,” SFPD said of WiLD 94.9’s on-air personality.

Police described him as a white male who is 6ft tall and weighs 180lbs. He is bald and has brown eyes.

In an update on Monday, Officer Roberta Rueca said, according to ABC7: “Our investigation involves an attempt to find evidence of electronics use, to see use of his electronic funds and we are not releasing any of that information if we could or would not.” may not have been found, but that’s part of the investigation.”

Presenters Matt Edmondson and Mollie King were quizzed by a man named Jonathan as part of the Have You Been Paying Attention Quiz on Sunday.

And it led to a gaffe with the Black Country Living Museum in Dudley, the answer to the question, being labeled as in Birmingham despite the museum’s obvious name.

Jonathan asked: “Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight has said the story could potentially return to television with a new creative team. What museum is the series filmed in, in Birmingham?”

Matt said he “didn’t know it was filmed inside a museum” which was backed up by fellow presenter Molly. The male presenter added the show was something he “tried to watch” but he never warmed to it – despite joking he was jealous of the suits and flat caps, but would look like a “little chimney sweep” if he replicated it.

Matt added: “It’s got to be like a museum of old Britain, hasn’t it? When is it set, like around the war isn’t it? The museum of the 20s or 30s. Hang on, in Birmingham there’s a chocolate factory. No, is there a museum of chocolate? No, they wouldn’t film it there, that would make no sense.”

The two presenters asked to be put out of their misery – with Jonathan revealing the answer, although he got the name wrong – saying “It’s the Black Country Living History Museum” to which Matt responded: “of course, the BCLHM that one.”

Asbarez – The San Francisco Bay Area Artsakh Task Force Humanitarian Aid Committee donated $ 100,000 to the Insurance Foundation for Soldiers in Armenia at KZV Armenian School in San Francisco on Nov. 12.

Earlier this year, the SFBAATF-HAC hosted a virtual fundraiser that raised $ 100,000 for wounded Artsakh soldiers and families of fallen soldiers.

The very first virtual gala and auction “For our soldiers” attracted over a few hundred visitors. The participants enjoyed touching musical performances, heard encouraging messages from Bishops Hovnan Derderian and Torkom Donoyan and saw moving personal messages from soldiers from Artsakh.

The donations went through the charitable foundation Friends of the Armenian Soldier and Family (FASF) and then to the Insurance Foundation for Soldiers in Armenia (IFS). IFS is a non-governmental organization that provides financial compensation to the families of deceased and wounded soldiers in Armenia and Artsakh.

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson vs. 49ers WR Deebo Samuel

The movement continues for Johnson, who has been fixated on the opponent’s best receiver in multiple mixed-result games. According to Sportradar, he only gives up 48.7% deals when targeted, a decrease from his rookie year (56.4%). His registration score is also better than last year at 85.2. His defended passes have fallen and he hasn’t had one in the last three games.

Bears OLB Trevis Gipson vs. 49ers RT Mike McGlinchey

If Khalil Mack is healthy, the best the Bears can hope for against McGlinchey is a stalemate, but Mack is out and that looks like a disparity. McGlinchey, the former Notre Dame Standout, is a Guardian who was converted to tackle because of his skills. Gipson’s greatest strength was his pass frenzy, but he hasn’t been strong against the barrel and McGlinchey is best at blocking the barrel. The 49ers play-action passing game comes from this run. Gipson showed some progress with some sacks earlier this year, but the offensive lines have been adjusted.

Bears RT Elijah Wilkinson vs. 49ers LDE Arik Armstead

Coming back from the COVID-19 list, Wilkinson has been a solid run blocker, though struggling a little as a pass blocker. He’s Germain Ifedi’s backup, but it’s also possible the Bears will start rookie Larry Borom, who just came out of injured reserve. Armstead had 10 sacks in the 49ers Super Bowl year and more than 3 1/2 in any other season. He’s got a sack and two quarterback hits this year and averaging 2.3 tackles per game, by far his worst average since starting out as a starter in 2018. Armstead is 6-foot-7,290 and the mighty rookie Borom would be one greater challenge for him to handle while the game is in progress. Fields tend to get tilted passes near the Edge Rusher and care must be taken at 6-7 Armstead.

Bears TE Cole Kmet vs. 49ers LB Tyrell Adams

49ers strong linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair is on concussion log, allowing only 5.8 yards per reception, but Adams was only on the field for 20 defensive games and one game this year. He’s only had one season as a starter since joining the league with the Raiders in 2016. Kmet has 19 receptions but still isn’t getting the downfield receptions the bears need, even though his 9.1 yards per catch is better than last year (8.7).

Bears WR Darnell Mooney vs. 49ers CB Josh Norman

If Robinson and Justin Fields aren’t synced yet, it would be a week to get it done as Norman struggled as the starting right cornerback for the 49ers. Norman is ranked 97th against the pass of 112 cornerbacks by Pro Football Focus. It would then be no surprise to see the 49ers move Emmanuel Moseley away from his left to cover Robinson or to have him all over the field on Robinson. Moseley is one of the better cornerbacks in the league this year and Robinson is still the Bears’ main threat even if they haven’t used him properly. It becomes Mooney who was actually the most effective Bears receiver trying to beat Norman, who is rated 97th out of 112 cornerbacks rated against the pass by Pro Football Focus. Norman is the bridging corner for the 49ers after a career that peaked in Carolina and Washington from 2012 to 2019. He’s struggled this year, allowing a 135.4 pass rating when targeted and two touchdown passes. Norman will turn 34 in December and whether he can compete with either of the Bears’ two top recipients remains to be seen.

Bears G James Daniels vs. 49ers DT Kentavius ​​Street

Street wouldn’t get that much playtime with a healthy Javon Kinlaw. Street is a little too small for a defensive tackle compared to those Daniels has been confronted with on a regular basis.
