Sen. Dianne Feinstein was forced to the hospital after tripping and falling Tuesday in her hometown of San Francisco, according to her office.

“Senator Feinstein briefly went to the hospital yesterday afternoon as a precaution after a minor fall in her home. All of her scans were clear and she returned home,” a spokesperson told The Post.

Feinstein (D-Calif.) suffered “no serious injuries” from the tumble, her spokesperson stressed. The hospital visit was first reported by TMZ.

The Senate is currently on recess and set to return Sept. 5.

Feinstein, 90, was hospitalized earlier this year after a bout with shingles and was absent from the Senate for about three months before returning in May. She is the oldest sitting lawmaker in either chamber of Congress.

During her absence, Feinstein missed dozens of key votes and was blamed by some progressives for slowing the progress ofPresident Biden’s controversial picks for federal judgeships through the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, 90, was hospitalized after taking a fall Tuesday in San Francisco.Getty Images

Aides later confirmed that Feinstein suffered complications from the shingles, including encephalitis — brain inflammation — and Ramsay Hunt syndrome that prolonged her time away from the upper chamber.

Much of her absence overlapped with Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-Pa.) extended time away from the Senate due to treatment for clinical depression.

Fetterman returned to the Senate in April.

“All of her scans were clear and she returned home,” a spokesperson for Feinstein told The Post.AFP via Getty Images

At times, Feinstein has had public mental lapses and appeared confused during Senate proceedings, drawing scrutiny from observers.

At one point during a Senate Appropriations Committee hearing last month, an aide and one of her colleagues had to prompt her to vote “aye” on the annual defense spending bill.

The California senator has also ceded power of attorney to her daughter amid a family power struggle over her late husband Richard Blum’s estate, the New York Times reported.

Feinstein, 90, was hospitalized earlier this year after a bout with shingles.AFP via Getty Images

Feinstein has decided not to vie for reelection and her term is set to end at the start of 2025.

Her departure has triggered a Democratic primary scramble to replace her in what could become one of the most expensive non-presidential elections ever

Top contenders to replace Feinstein include Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff, Katie Porter, and Barbara Lee.

Under California’s primary system, the top two vote-getters will square off in the November general election, even if both are from the same party. This happened in 2016, when then-state attorney general Kamala Harris fended off then-Rep. Loretta Sanchez to win a seat in the Senate.

MARIN COUNTY (CBS SF) — Authorities in Marin County confirmed a two-vehicle crash Saturday that left three people hospitalized with their injuries.

On Saturday at around 12 pm, the Marin Area office of the California Highway Patrol received a call regarding a two-vehicle traffic crash with one vehicle rolled onto its roof. The accident happened on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road, west of Nicasio Valley Road.

CHP-Marin Area officers, as well as the CHP’s Golden Gate Division Air Operations, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and Marin County Fire Department responded to the accident.

Marin County crash (CHP Marin)

CHP said their preliminary investigation indicated a Chevrolet Corvette was traveling west on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road behind several vehicles. The driver of the Corvette attempted to pass three slower moving vehicles at one time, traveling at a high rate of speed.

At the same time, a Toyota pick-up truck at the front of the pack was attempting to make a left turn into a dirt parking area. The driver of the Corvette failed to see the truck turning left. The front of the Chevrolet collided into the left side of the Toyota, causing the truck to flip.

After the collision, the three occupants of the Toyota were transported to the hospital with minor to moderate injuries. The driver of the Corvette sustained minor injuries and was treated on scene, CHP said.

Authorities said the initial investigation indicated drugs and/or alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the collision. The driver of the Corvette will be cited for the unsafe driving maneuver.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) – The Ronald McDonald House charity in the Bay Area ensures parents can stay close to their hospital child without incurring hotel and meal costs. During the pandemic, their program was suspended until Charles Schwab, San Francisco’s financial services company, stepped in.

They hope that other companies will be inspired to do the same.

RELATED: Help, Information, and Resources Amid a Coronavirus Pandemic

Laura Boudreau, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities Bay Area, said ahead of COVID-19 they could serve up to 150 meals from her room at UCSF Mission Bay San Francisco and UCSF Oakland hospital.

“Every day we had volunteers and business groups helping us prepare meals, and families could sit down and enjoy a meal – a little rest in their day. But when COVID started we had to close our common room,” Boudreau said.

Boudreau said there was a break in church services but no break in teething. When Charles Schwab called in June, they were looking forward to a partnership.

“This is the time when people think about how we can help each other with this,” said Boudreau.

WATCH: The SF cook on leave helps turn discarded food into elaborate meals for people in need

Charles Schwab offered his catering service as nobody went to the office.

“We’ve actually served 3,000 meals since we started this partnership in June. It’s just amazing,” said Boudreau.

Jill Blanks and her family are from Fresno. Her 10 month old son Jensen is on the UCSF Mission Bay campus due to pulmonary hypertension, a long-term disease. Blanks said she was extremely grateful for all of the support.

“The fact that we are provided with all of these things that would have cost us so much along the way has really allowed us to be better parents and really focus on our child’s well-being,” said Blanks.

RELATED: 12-year-old collects more than 9,000 diapers for families in need

She said lunch even brought some parents together. Spaces said it was more than just a meal.

“It not only nourishes our physical body, but also our soul, that’s why we’re just so grateful. We have learned that there are so many good people out there who want to take care of families who are going through a lot of trauma. We just have the feeling that it makes us feel the kindness that comes from the people in our community, “said Blanks.

Boudreau is unsure how long Schwab will be offering its services.

“We don’t know for sure, we really didn’t think it would take that long. We also didn’t think COVID would last that long. We’re just grateful for the time Charles Schwab was able to give us and you know “I think this is an exciting way for companies to get involved and we would love to see other companies get involved,” said Boudreau.
