Five inmates escaped from St. Francois County Detention Center in Farmington, Missouri, on Tuesday night, authorities said in a statement posted to Facebook.

The suspects, identified as Kelly McSean, Dakota Pace, Aaron Sebastian, LuJuan Tucker and Michael Wilkins, gained access to the jail’s rooftop through the vents and pipes of the building’s plumbing system. They subsequently made their way to the ground, St. Francois County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Gregory Armstrong said.

The inmates discarded their orange jumpsuits and were seen on camera wearing white thermal leggings, white boxers and/or basketball shorts and white T-shirts — with the exception of Tucker, who was wearing a black shirt, the sheriff’s department said.

Surveillance footage also captured the inmates stealing a dark gray 2009 Toyota Scion with Missouri temporary tags and no front plate from the Centene Corporation’s parking lot at approximately 7 pm

The group was last seen on camera driving southbound, according to the sheriff’s department officials.

All of the inmates were being held on felony warrants and three of the inmates — Tucker, Sebastian and McSean — are known sex offenders, authorities said.

Authorities said that if members of the public spot the fugitives, they should not approach and they should call 9-1-1.

The three men were believed to have climbed into an overhead air vent through the jail’s HVAC system, the sheriff’s office said. Afterward, they disappeared into Sullivan County, Tennessee.

In a tweet, the sheriff’s office said the escaped inmates may now be in Pulaski, Virginia.

Officers are searching for a White 2001 Short Bed Chevrolet Silverado with Tennessee registration 830GSD. Officials did not specify a suspected direction of travel.

“Our primary focus continues to be the apprehension of the escaped inmates,” A release from the sheriff’s office said. “Reward money is still being offered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the United States Marshals Service for information leading to the location and apprehension of the escaped inmates.”

A combined reward of up to $22,500 has been offered for information leading to the capture of the men. The three were added to the TBI’s Most Wanted List on Friday.

Their descriptions are as follows:

• Tobias Wayne Carr, 38 years old. 5 feet and 11 inches. 160 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes
• Johnny Shane Brown, 50 years old. 5 feet and 11 inches. 200 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes
• Timothy Allen Sarver, 45 years old. 6 feet and 2 inches. 235 pounds with strawberry blond hair and green eyes

• Tobias Carr: second-degree murder, vandalism, tampering with evidence
• Johnny Brown: failure to appear, driving on suspended or revoked license, harassment, violation of order of protection, domestic assault, aggravated stalking
• Timothy Sarver: auto theft, identity theft, drug paraphernalia, unlawful carrying of a weapon

In response to the inmates’ escape, Sullivan County Schools were placed into “a secure” state throughout Friday. This meant that the doors of each building were locked and checked regularly. Faculty, students and staff were also only able to exit and enter the building on a limited basis.

At around 5:39 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021, San Francisco police officers at Taraval Station responded to Wawona Street and 43rd Avenue on Wawona Street and 43rd Avenue for a report of a car theft and kidnapping, according to the SFPD.

A 32-year-old San Francisco resident was in his car parked outside his home in the Sunset District early Friday morning when a man walked up to him with a gun, police said.

The suspect ordered the man to sit in the passenger seat and the suspect huddled in the driver’s seat before spinning off, according to San Francisco police.

During the trip, the suspect allegedly requested the man’s belongings. The man complied and handed over his phone, credit cards, jewelry, and some clothing. Concerned for his safety, the man jumped out of the moving car and drove away, according to officials.

The man stopped a pedestrian and called the police.

Officials responded to reports of a car theft and kidnapping on Wawona Street and 43rd Avenue near the San Francisco Zoo at 5:39 a.m. on June 18. The man was being treated for non-life threatening injuries and officers found his vehicle unoccupied at 2300 block on 44th Avenue.

This remains an active investigation and no arrests have been made.
