OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – An Oklahoma daughter named KFOR is trying to get a refund for her parents after a plumber allegedly abandoned her.

Paula Mason’s plumbing problem lasted far too long.

We met her for the first time in early August. She explained to our team a few months earlier that her parents’ house needs to be repaired immediately.

“We just thought it was a blockage,” said Paula. “I found out it was a broken line, a broken line.”

Flood victims in Oklahoma are waiting months longer for answers

The Freemasons as they speak to KFOR.

She hired a man named Steve Maxson and paid $ 3,100. Paula says work stalled shortly afterwards.

She would eventually hire another plumber. However, Maxson’s promises of a refund were unsuccessful.

“He kept saying he had to get it from the seller,” said Paula. “Had to go to his salespeople and get the money back.”

IN YOUR CORNER: Frustration grows when customers wait months for portable buildings

In our attempts to reach Steve, we reached his father Stephen Maxson Sr.

Stephen Sr. is a plumber himself and has his own business in eastern Oklahoma.

He told our team that he was unaware of Paula’s situation and that his son was not properly licensed.

News 4 eventually reached Steve Jr., who announced to our team that he would issue a refund.

“Yes, I’ll set that up for you,” he told our team on the phone.

IN YOUR CORNER: Workers wait weeks for paychecks

However, this was already the case in August. Paula told KFOR that she hadn’t heard from the Maxsons in a while.

That is, until this last weekend. Paula announced to our team that she received a full refund in the mail.

While In Your Corner was happy to help tie the two sides together, that success really rests with Paula!

She tells our team that she has contacted government agencies and obtained information about the insurance provider from Stephen Sr.’s company.

Paula’s update shows persistence. When faced with such a crisis with a contractor, In Your Corner urges consumers to try all available options.

	Conclude

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) – A terrifying ordeal caught on camera in San Francisco – A man with a large knife was seen chasing another man down the street near Jefferson Square Park.

The victim tells KRON4 that this happened when he was walking his dog with his wife on Tuesday afternoon.

A knife hunt took place in broad daylight. The victim, a software engineer, says the attack was not provoked and he had to run for life.

Caldor Fire in El Dorado County burns more than 62,000 acres, including 0%

He hopes others will not face a similar experience.

In a short but breathtaking video, an unknown man is caught with a large knife chasing another man who is running away.

“It was really scary, it was like time was slowing down and you were wondering,” Is this really going to happen? “Doesn’t seem real,” Skylar Givens said.

Skylar Givens says his attacker is homeless and recently took over an area across from his family’s home.

While Givens and his wife were walking their dog on Tuesday afternoon, the unidentified man lying on the sidewalk became aggressive and pulled the gun out of his pocket.

“He pulled out that big knife. It was about 10 or 12 inches and luckily I had a taser with me and ended up firing the taser at him so I could escape and run away quickly, ”Givens said.

The high-voltage shocks heard on the video were not enough to prevent the man from approaching. Givens was forced to walk behind a security gate in his home.

“If I hadn’t reacted like that, I might very well have been stabbed,” said Givens.

Givens says the attacker was arrested shortly after the police arrived.

After living and working in San Francisco for nearly a decade, Givens has recently seen a surge in homeless camps and drug use in his neighborhood.

He fears that people who enjoy the park will encounter a similar nightmare and may not be able to defend themselves.

“I feel a little more insecure than before because I’ve been walking around all day. It’s something I think about all the time and I won’t be able to go outside again without thinking about it, ”said Givens.

We reached out to the San Francisco Police Department for more information about this attack – they have not yet responded.

Givens says he and his wife are so shaken that they are seriously considering moving out of San Francisco.
