I’m Spending 2 Weeks in Portugal and Solely Packing These Magnificence Merchandise

By the time you read this, I will be somewhere in Portugal’s Algarve coast, disconnected from the internet and living whatever the Portuguese version of la dolce vita is. I’m an anxious traveler and I spent two weeks very slowly packing my bags. One of the most difficult parts to pack was my beauty bag. I’m so used to having dozens of options for every step of my routine and every possible ailment that condensing it feels impossible. But, I am God’s strongest soldier—I did it and I’m still here to tell the tale and share the details.
I needed a mixture of products for the beach bum lifestyle, as well as for the occasional dressed up dinner out. There are 16 products in total, which I understand seems like a lot, but they are all very necessary. Plus, they all fit in the scientific achievement that is my medium-sized strawberry hue Calpak Clear Cosmetics Case.

Calpak Clear Cosmetics Case
Calpak
This case is probably the most important product here since it so neatly and compactly fits my (slightly unhinged) 16 beauty products. It’s clear, which means it’s perfect for traveling through TSA should you be keeping it in your carry on.
Cadence Starter Set
Cadence
Part of the reason I’m able to pack so many things is because of these game-changing Cadence capsules. I decant bulky hair products or other large beauty containers into these. It makes packing at least 30 percent easier.
Tower28 SOS Rescue Spray
Tower 28
If I don’t care for my skin on the plane, it will feel off for the entire trip; it’ll be congested and covered in blemishes. I saw a TikTok that described this as sort of being a hand sanitizer for your face. I agree, it keeps things clean and oil-free but it also calms down the irritation and dryness from that stale recycled airplane air. Plus, it soothes my skin when it feels a little too sunkissed.
Sofie Pavitt Face Micellar Water Pads
Sofie Pavitt
Being on vacation means being a little lazy. These micellar pads from Sofie Pavitt Face are like makeup wipes except they actually work. They don’t pull at skin, they’re non-drying, and you can get away with using them without following up with a face wash.
Guerlain Kiss Kiss Bee Glow Lip Oil
Nordstrom
First of all, I love this lip oil. Secondly, Guerlain has arguably created the new gold standard for lip oils. It’s silky, hydrating, and thick but not goopy. It’s the type of thing you can put on once every six hours.
U Beauty Resurfacing Compound
U Beauty’s Resurfacing Compound can’t be beat and I’m adding it to my bag, even during a two-week trip. It comes in a very hand and small 15-ml bottle; it would be the perfect travel size, but unfortunately, I’ve already finished it. Instead, I’ve decanted some into a Cadence Capsule to ensure my skin remains smooth and bright.
Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector Cream
Dermstore
I need a hair treatment to counteract all of the saltwater and chlorine-filled pool swimming I plan on doing. The No. 3 Cream makes my hair feel silky, soft, and brushable even when my strands feel so knotted I think I’ll have to shave them off.
Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
Nordstrom
Sunny vacations are one of the few times I’ll buy into the no makeup makeup thing. Black Honey can be built up to go from sheer tint to almost-regular satin lipstick. It adds a pinch of color to my complexion.
Glossier Invisible Shield SPF 50
Glossier
All of the actives in my skincare products—retinols, vitamin C, multiple acids, will burn my face into oblivion without adequate protection. Glossier’s Invisible Shield is that girl. It feels like nothing, I truly forget that I have it on. It’s a clear gel which I thought was impossible for an SPF and works great as a primer, too.
