Taylor Mania is sweeping the Bay Area
TAYLOR SWIFT performs at LEVI’S STADIUM in SWIFTIE CLARA, California – a city that was known as SANTA CLARA until the city officially changed its name for the days that SWIFT will be in town – FRIDAY and SATURDAY (28th – 29.07.). They also appointed the singer as honorary mayor!
iHEARTMEDIA VP/CHR Programming MARK ADAMS, PD for Hot AC KIOI (STAR 101.3) and sister Top 40 KYLD (WiLD 94.9)/SAN FRANCISCO tells ALL ACCESS that the stations are “all in”, to support the shows.
“From MONDAY (07/24) to SATURDAY midnight, STAR 101.3 becomes STAR 101-TAY. On the hour, we present a different song by TAYLOR SWIFT, celebrating all eras of their music!” ADAMS continued, “Each morning at 8:05 am, KIOI presenters MARCUS & COREY give listeners a chance to win concert tickets, while THE JV SHOW on KYLD does the same at 7:50. On FRIDAY (7/28) at 5:00 p.m.” , KIOI presents a TAYLOR TAKEOVER with RYAN SEACREST and SISANIE for the entire hour, while KYLD presents a TAYLOR TAKEOVER of commercial free music with GABBY & EJ along with DJ JEANINE DA FEEN.”
Another way for listeners to win tickets is to follow the broadcasters on INSTAGRAM (@STAR1013FM and @WiLD949) and then tag a friend in the comments. KYLD takes it a step further with Talk Back For TAYLOR. When the station plays two SWIFT songs back-to-back, listeners can record and send a talkback message via the iHEARTRADIO app explaining why they need to see the concert.
KYLD’s DJ PHASE and VICTOR MENEGAUX will produce “Wild For Taylor” mini mixes that will air hourly on FRIDAY and SATURDAY. Following the concert every evening, the WiLD 94-9 AFTER PAR-TAY will be seen live in the mix with the WiLD STYLE DJs.
Both stations will be at the stadium each night, where DJs will spin SWIFT songs and give people a chance to win SWIFT merchandise.
